You will require the following innards for the preparation of this dish:

    • chicken drumsticks
    • thighs bone-in and skin-on
    • Extra-virgin olive oil
    • Greek Yoghurt
    • Dried Oregano
    • white wine vinegar
    • Salt
    • Black pepper powder
    • garlic cloves minced
    • Lemon Juice

Instructions

STEP 1:

First of all, you are supposed to add all the ingredients to the bowl except for the chicken. Now make sure that all the ingredients are nicely-getting mixed in the bowl.

STEP 2:

Once you have mixed all the ingredients well in the bowl, then add the chicken to the marinade. After it has got coated nicely, then you should let it rest for about 3 hours.

STEP 3:

As told earlier, preheating is the key to get the nicely crunchy, crispy, tender and juicy chicken. So don’t forget about this aspect. Make sure that you are preheating the oven before baking the chicken to 180 degree celsius. After that, bake the chicken for about 30 minutes. Take it out from the oven. Before baking it for the second time, make sure you are brushing it with the marinade. After that, bake it for another 20 minutes.

TIP TO COOK THE CHICKEN

If you are considering boneless chicken breasts or thighs for cooking, then before baking them in the oven, it is better to cook them on the stove for about 5 to 7 minutes before baking.

Important points to note

You can preserve the greek chicken for 3 days in the refrigerator after it is cooked.

The baking temperature for the chicken thighs and the chicken breasts is not the same. For breasts, you are required to heat the oven at 200 degrees celsius.
